Former MLB Pitcher Scott Sanderson Dead At 62

Former MLB pitcher Scott Sanderson passed away after his battle with cancer at the age of 62. He had also suffered a stroke last year, and had his voice box removed during his final months.


The 19-year ​MLB veteran touched the hearts of many, and was one of the most wonderful people in the game of baseball across his long tenure.
Sanderson spent 11 years of his career with the Cubs and Expos. He also spent time with the Angles, Yankees, Giants, Athletics, and White Sox.
Over the course of his career in the majors, Sanderson compiled quite the resume. He won 163 games, struck out 1,611 batters, managed an impressive 3.84 ERA, and was selected to the 1991 All-Star game as a member of the New York Yankees.
